I am a professional freelance copy editor and publication designer, specializing in academic publications and educational materials. More information is available on the Editing and Design Services page.

I am also a PhD candidate in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, and I currently work as a publication designer for the STEMD2 Research & Development Group.

My linguistics research specialization is sociolinguistics and language documentation, with an areal focus in Southwest China and broader Southeast Asia. I’m particularly interested in language contact phenomena, including phonetics/phonology, language variation, typology and historical relationships.

This site includes information about my research, projects (check out the Tea Map), and helpful research tools. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.
